Translation

1      [The plan]t(?) of Šamaš the great, the powerful, <he (Šamaš) brought over across> the mountain.

2      For the third time [you (the dog) ha]ve bitten a bite!

3–4      Why have you taken the meat of sin, the bad ..., the skin of a mule?

5       May the date palm from Tilmun cross the sea hither!

6       May it go down to me, may it get across from (its) subterranean water!

7       ... do not be lazy! ...

8–9       ... ... ...

10      May it turn you back! Incantation formula.

10a    Spell (against) a dog.

11–13       You crush and sift ... silt, wormwood, a residue (of linseed?), pressed oil, (and) the Bulluḫu aromatic plant.

14-15       You boil down (the ingredients) in a cauldron. You apply (a bandage with the mixture) to him (the patient) once and twice,

16       – the [wound] of the bite will be fine.
