Translation

–4         Eye, eye! An A.-eye! Indeed, bad vision; Indeed, a sleep taken-away; mud.

–6         As for the man’s house – she scattered the amassed fireplace;

–8         The noisy house she brought about its ruin; {She seize}

             She seized the bull in the stable;

–11      She seized the sheep in the watering place;

–12      She seized the young man in prayer;

–14      She seized the maiden in dancing;

–16      She seized the little-one from the lap of the nurse;

–17      An evil eye – are you!

–19     The incantation is not mine, it is the incantation of Ea, the lord of incantations.

–24      You are held by the oath of Anum and Anatum, Laḫmum and Dūrum, the netherworld and its watercourses: ‘You shall not return! You shall not snatch her!’
