3 Kummu-song for Adad.
4 “We hear that his will to battle is unbending.
5 He turns the land upside down and won’t let it stay alive.
6 Order him: ‘Get up! Depart!’ He shall listen to your command and draw back.”
7 Enlil began to speak and in the assembly of all gods he spoke:
8 “A mountain alone (Enlil) is ruling the gods!
9 (But) he (Adad) took up battle in times of peace.
10 They shall bring Bēlet-ilī, they shall let her appear in front of me!”
-----
11 When they had brought Bēlet-ilī to him, Enlil spoke to her:
12 “Depart! Calm your brother. Save [...] from his hand.”
13 [She heard] this command, stepping out of his door.
14 [She ...], pacifying her [bro]ther.

1 He welcomed him, the Father of the Gods[, Enlil]
2 (and) spoke to him words of praise:
-----
3 “Foremost of your brothers, Bull of Heaven,
4 on whom the life of all human beings depends!
5 You poured out deep silence in my land,
6 your battle ploughed all inhabited lands.
7 Herewith I bestow the lords of daises upon you,
8 I entrust the beclouded to your hand.
9 Your abode shall be permanent in my land.
10 Like the storm-winds you are walking forward.
11 (Your) offering table shall truly rejoice on its day.
12 The king, he of his forefathers, shall worship you.
-----
13 You, listen to his prayer of benediction!
14 Let abundance rain down on his land!
15 Let his fate increase year after year!
16 Make the lands kneel down in front of his feet!
17 When he goes to battle,
18 go with him, knock down his opponent!
19 In front of his feet make kneel down the land!
20 [...] his kings(?).
