Translation

Rev.

1 Oh baby, (once) a dweller of the House of Darkness:

2 You have now come out, you have now seen the li[ght of Šamaš]!

3 Why are you crying, why are you screaming?

4 There, why did you not cry?

5 You have awakened the god(s) of the house, the Kusarikkum has aroused, (saying):

6–7 “who has awakened me? who has aroused me?”

8 - The baby has awakened you, the baby has aroused you!

9–10 Like (over) drinker(s) of beer, like (over) a son of an ale tender -

11 May sleep fall over him.

----

12 Incantation to quiet a baby.
