Let Ea cast you a life-bestowing spell,
–5 Let Ninkarrak bandage you with her gentle hands,
–7 let Damu remove the headache and ašû(-head disease) of your body.
-9 May all the holy gods of the steppe, Adad, Sumukan, Nāru, Šamaš, and Hursānu perform exorcisms for you,
and may the pure Igigū purify you.
–15 May the Divine Twins, children of Sîn, prevent Lamaštu, exterminating bile, Snatcher-demon, pox, fever (lit. fire), stroke, šanadum-disease, chill, (and) “taboo” (asakku-)disease from bringing you near to death.
May the pure murderess not draw near to you,
–19 May the Flasher-Demon not attack you, nor the one that blew hither
–23 nor šibbu-disease, illness, internal illness, heartache, headache, or physical illness.
Rev.
–26 May Nanše, queen of the wave(s) not let (them) approach you or your body.
–28 Why has something beaten and downtrodden year after year (now) risen against you, (why) is something rejected by (its) god upon you?
Weakened is whatever you have created,
weakened is the one you gave birth to, O goddess of his father.
The goddess (ištar) of his mother, who gives birth to the clan,
–33 (and) the merciful god of his uncle, who saves him from trouble,
–36 removed the “pressed gut”, the top of the stomach,
(and) Ninkarrak cured him, the goddess of life.
Incantation formula.
The incantation is not mine;
–41 it is the incantation of Asalluhi son of Ea of Eridu.
