19      bā'erum(ŠU.ḪA) i-ba-ar nūnam(KU6)

20      am-me-nim a-di ABZUx?(DÉ?) ṣú-ṣí {IM}{AṢ}im-a-aṣ

21      al-su-um-ma ak-šu-<da>-am-ma

22      il-su-ma-am-ma ⌈ú⌉-ul ik-šu-da-ni

23      Na-zi a-ba-ra-k[a-a]t dNin-gal

24      i-na pí-i na-zi a-ba-ra-ka-tim

25      ša dNin-gal li-ṣí-⌈a⌉-am-ma

26      nūnum(KU6) ša ap-pa-ri-im li-ṣí-a-am

27      tu-e-en-ne-nu-ri ù ma-da-di-im

Translation

16      Reed-bed of Sîn! Reed of Magan!

17      Sîn my lord! Pull out your reed-mat!

18      May the strong-one go down the midst of the Apsû!

19      The Fisherman is catching a fish:

20      Why has he cut the reed-thicket until the Apsû?

21      I ran and I reached (the fish) —

22      It ran (the fish?) but did not reach me!

23      Nazi is the stewardess of Ningal,

24      By the command of Nazi the stewardess

25      of Ningal: may it (the fish) come out to me!

26      May the fish of the marsh come out to me!
