The tablet begins with a Hurrian(?) incantation (ll. 1–7): al-ri-ši-ab ta-ar-zu-wa-ni x [... ...] / a-zi-ni-en zu IGI?/PI?+KUR a-ni-en pa-aḫ-me-ni-e[n?] / m[u?-...] / tu-di ba-da-ni ú-di ba-da-n[i] / al-ri di-ki-ib-ti ba-da-ni / ḫa-PI-ma-ḫa-at tu-di ba-da-ni / ib-ḫa-ni ba-ni [a]d? lu?-du-ti ru-ri ka-ra-ni ta-aḫ-PI-da / ši-ab ši-ab uš-ta am-ta-ri. This incantation is echoed in the first colophon, on l. 16: ḫa-ap-pa-ḫa-zi ḫa-la-di? ḫa-pa-ḫa-zi.
Note the Southern orthography /pi/ (l. 10).
